A Banda de Poi foi un grupo galaico-portugués de rock, formado por Tonhito de Poi en 2005 e disolto en 2007. En 2013 volveu para unha serie de concertos con novos membros no grupo, e tras varios anos de silencio volveu a actuar novamente en 2017. Durante a súa carreira a banda publicou unicamente un álbum de estudio, Mór (2005).

Historia

A banda foi creada tras abandonar Tonhito de Poi os Heredeiros da Crus en 2012.[1] En 2005 publicaron un disco, Mór. Conforme os seus principios ideolóxicos, usaban a normativa do galego reintegracionista. En 2007, tras numerosos problemas, tanto económicos como entre os membros do grupo, a banda disolveuse.[2] En 2013 a banda, na que só se mantiña Tonhito de Poi, regresou para unha serie de concertos. Contou esta vez con Pulpiño Viascón, Quique Otero (director de Crebinsky) e Pablo Pérez.[3] En 2016 o grupo comezou a ensaiar novamente en Matosinhos,[4] e a partir de maio de 2017 a banda realizou unha serie de concertos cos membros da formación orixinal Joao Machado, Joao Sarembé e Cláudio Figueiredo.[5]
