Alexandre Borges Guimarães (lahir 7 November 1959) adalah mantan pemain sepak bola tim nasional sepak bola Kosta Rika dan saat ini menjabat sebagai pelatih kepala Tianjin Teda F.C.[3]

Ia pindah ke Kosta Rika pada usia 11 tahun, dan menjadi salah satu figur pemain sepak bola yang dicintai dalam sejarah persepak bolaan Kosta Rika. Sebagai pemain, Guimarães pernah berkarier di Durpanel San Blas, Municipal Puntarenas, Deportivo Saprissa (salah satu klub populer di negerinya) dan Turrialba FC. Memenangkan 3 kali kejuaraan nasional dengan Saprissa pada tahun 1982, 1988 dan 1989 dan total mengoleksi 95 gol dari 377 penampilannya.

Memiliki 16 penampilan dengan timnas Kosta Rika termasuk 3 pemampilan di Piala Dunia 1990. Menjadi warganegara Kosta Rika sejak 1985.

Setelah pensiun sebagai pemain,menjadi salah satu pelatih tersukses dalajm sejarah persepak bolaan negeri itu. Bersama Saprissa untuk beberapa tahun, ia memenangkan 3 turnamen nasional. Ia juga melatih di luar negeri, seperti klub CSD Comunicaciones di Guatemala, Real Irapuato dan Dorados de Sinaloa di Meksiko.[4]
