PetScanを開く

PetScan (以前の名称CatScan) は、指定された条件に基づいてウィキペディアの記事カテゴリ（とそのサブカテゴリ）を検索し、条件に合った記事やスタブ、画像、カテゴリを見つけ出すことができる外部ツールです。また、ふたつのカテゴリに属しているすべての記事を見つけ出すためにも使用できます。

PetScanは、以前のCatScanをもとにドイツ語版ウィキペディアで活動しているMagnus Manske氏が開発し、ウィキメディア・ラボにある専用サーバ上で動作しています。

使い方

PetScanのユーザーインターフェースは複数の言語に対応しています。表示言語はページ左上にある言語セレクタで変更できます。ユーザーインターフェースに使われる言語と、検索に用いられる言語とは、完全に独立しています。したがって、例えば英語のユーザーインターフェースを使って、日本語ウィキペディアのカテゴリを検索することもできます。

検索条件はストアドクエリとしてPSIDが割り当てられます。これは[[petscan:]]でリンク可能です。「ページ名」としてクエリのPSID番号を指定します。例：ウィキデータに項目がない20世紀に亡くなった人物記事（[[petscan:29097|ウィキデータに項目がない20世紀に亡くなった人物記事]]）
