ONIX staat voor Online Information eXchange. Het heeft betrekking op een standaardschema dat uitgevers kunnen gebruiken bij het elektronisch verspreiden van informatie over hun boeken onder groothandels, boekhandels, collega-uitgevers en anderen die betrokken zijn bij de verkoop van boeken.
