Kjetil Borch (født 1990) er en norsk roer. Han har vunnet to olympiske medaljer, bronse i dobbeltsculler i 2016 og sølv i singlesculler i 2020, og representert Norge i fire olympiske leker (2012, 2016, 2020 og 2024). Borch har også vunnet verdensmesterskapet i roing i 2013 og 2018, og europamesterskapet i 2018. Borch er oppvokst i Horten og medlem i Horten Roklubb.

Karriere

Borch begynte med roing i 2001, men tok en pause for å spille håndball og trene kickboksing, før han tok opp igjen idretten i 2004.[5] Han fikk sin internasjonale debut for Norge i dobbeltfirer i junior-VM i 2007 og konkurrerte i dobbeltsculler i junior-VM i 2008.[5][6] I 2009 tok Borch bronse i dobbeltsculler i U-23 VM sammen med Truls Albert.[7]

Borch ble en del av det norske landslaget i roing i 2010 og begynte å ro i dobbeltsculler med Nils Jakob Hoff.[8] Duoen tok fjerdeplass i VM i roing 2010 og bronse i EM i roing 2012.[9] Borch debuterte i de olympiske leker i Sommer-OL 2012 i London, hvor han sammen med Hoff havnet på sjuendeplass totalt.[10][11] Duoen tok bronse i EM i roing 2013 og gull i VM i roing 2013.[12][13]

Etter to sesonger uten pallplassering, valgte Norges Roforbund i 2016 å erstatte Hoff med Olaf Tufte i dobbeltsculleren.[14] I Sommer-OL 2016 i Rio tok Borch bronsemedalje i dobbeltsculler med Tufte.[15][16] Etter å ha tatt en femteplass i VM i roing 2017, byttet Borch til singlesculler i 2018. Han ble europamester og verdensmester i singlesculler da han tok gull i EM i roing 2018 og VM i roing 2018.[17] Han tok bronse i VM i roing 2019 og EM i roing 2020.[18]

Borch representerte Norge under Sommer-OL 2020 i Tokyo, hvor han tok sølv i singlesculler.[19] I september samme år fikk han sølv i strandsprint i VM i kystroing 2021.[20] I 2022 ble Borch norgesmester i toerbob da han kjørte sammen med Mathias Olivares.[21] I Sommer-OL 2024 i Paris havnet Borch sammen med Martin Helseth på tiendeplass totalt i dobbeltsculler.[22]
