Ramessés VIII foi um faraó da XX dinastia egípcia que governou entre 1129 e 1127 a.C. Julga-se que era filho o último filho de Ramessés III, considerado por muitos egiptólogos como o último grande faraó. Trata-se de um soberano pouco conhecido com um reinado curto. O fato de ele ter sucedido o faraó Ramessés VII, filho de Ramessés VI, pode indicar que havia na época um conflito na sucessão real[1].

O reinado de Ramessés VIII é o mais obscuro de sua dinastia, sendo que as informações de sua dinastia pode indicar que ele governou por apenas 1 ou dois anos[2]. Ademais, este é o único faraó desta dinastia que não teve sua tumba identificada, porém alguns estudiosos sugerem que a tumba KV19, do filho de Ramessés IX foi originalmente construída para Ramessés VIII.
