Aphis (лат.) — крупнейший род тлей из подсемейства Aphidinae. Более 500 видов. Встречаются повсеместно, но главным образом, в Северном полушарии. Среди них такие вредители сельскохозяйственных культур, как бахчевая тля, или хлопковая тля (Aphis gossypii), крыжовниковая тля (Aphis grossulariae), свекловичная тля (Aphis fabae), яблонная тля (Aphis pomi)[1][2]. Многие виды мирмекофилы и ассоциированы с муравьями[3].

Описание

Мелкие насекомые, длина 0,8—3,1 мм. Ассоциированы с травянистыми растениями и кустарниками. Диплоидный набор хромосом 2n=8 [1][4].
