Ceroptres (лат.) — род орехотворок (Cynipoidea) трибы Ceroptresini из подсемейства Ceroptresini. Известно около 40 видов.

Описание

Большинство его видов обитают в Северной Америке, и большинство из них являются инквилинами, то есть откладывают яйца в галлы хозяина. Эти галлы хозяина в основном образуются под воздействием других галловых наездников, но некоторые виды Ceroptres используют галлы комаров-галлиц Cecidomyiidae[1].

Систематика

Известно около 40 видов[1][2]. Вместе с родом Buffingtonella включён в состав трибы дубовых галлообразующих орехотворок Ceroptresini (Cynipoidea)[3][2]. Триба Ceroptresini была впервые предложена в 2015 году[3], а в дальнейшем были описаны новые виды[1][2][4].
