Cyproideidae (лат.) — семейство морских прибрежных и бентосных бокоплавов[1][2].

Описание

Амфиподы семейства Cyproideidae встречаются преимущественно в Южном полушарии и в природе обитают в ассоциации с морскими водорослями, прибрежными скалами или коралловыми обломками. Также встречаются в ассоциации с живыми кораллами, губками, криноидами и гидроидами. Для представителей ципроидеид характерны: очень маленькие тазики 1 и 2, сильно увеличенные и расширенные тазики 3 и 4; двуветвистый уропод 3 с удлиненным стеблем и часто с дорсальным килем[3].

Голова свободная, не сросшаяся с первым переонитом; открытая; рострум присутствует, длинный; глаза присутствуют, хорошо развиты или отсутствуют; не сросшиеся; 1 пара; не выпуклые. Тело сжато с боков или субшаровидное; кутикула гладкая. Тазики 2-4, тазики 3-4 сильно расширены, с лопастями[1].

Классификация

Впервые таксон был описан в 1974 году американским зоологом Джерри Лоренсом Барнардом (J. Laurens Barnard)[4][1]. Согласно World Register of Marine Species в состав рода включают следующие роды[2][5]:
