Eupleurodon (лат.) — род морских крабов из семейства Epialtidae инфраотряда Eubrachyura (Majoidea, Heterotremata). Известно около 3 видов. Они обитают в приливной зоне тропической восточной части Тихого океана[1].
Описание
Карапакс достигает в длину до 9,5 мм и почти гладкий. Рострум (центральный лобный отросток) длиннее, чем шире, и имеет выемку на конце. Надглазничный выступ и задний глазничный шип неразличимы; надглазничный выступ образует непрерывный ободок без предглазничных или заглазничных зубов. Край жабр покрыт бугорками. Проподи у 2—5 переоподов имеют проксимальный отросток, называемый «большим пальцем», который противостоит пальцу. У обоих полов третий-пятый сомиты плеона сращены[1].
