The blue gled (Circus cyaneus) is a bird o prey. The genus name Circus is derived frae Auncient Greek kirkos, meanin 'circle', referrin tae a bird o prey cried fur its circlin flicht. The specific cyaneus is Laitin, meanin "dark-blue".[2]
