Messier 82 (kent as NGC 3034, Cigar Galaxy or M82 an aw) is the prototype[5] nearby starnburst galaxy aboot 12 million licht-years away in the constellation Ursa Major. The starburst galaxy is five times mair luminous nor the whole Milky Way an ane hundrit times mair luminous nor oor galaxy's center.[5] The starnburst activity is thoucht tae be triggered bi interaction wi neighborin galaxy M81.
