Vachsky Destrict (Roushie: Ва́чский райо́н) is an admeenistrative[1] an municipal[2] destrict (raion), ane o the forty-three in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Roushie. It is locatit in the soothwast o the oblast. The aurie o the destrict is 979.5 square kilometer (378.2 sq mi).[1] Its admeenistrative centre is the urban locality (a wirk dounset) o Vacha.[1] Population: 19,979 (2010 Census);[3] 23,349 (2002 Census);[6] 29,198 (1989 Census).[7] The population o Vacha accoonts for 30.0% o the destrict's total population.[3]
