A redirect is a page which haes no content itself, but sends the reader tae anither page, uisually an airticle or section o an airticle. For example, if ye type "UK" in the rake box, or follae the wikilink UK, you will be taken tae the airticle Unitit Kinrick, wi a note at the tap o the page: "(Reguidit frae UK)". This is acause the page UK contains the wikitext #REDIRECT [[Unitit Kinrick]], which defines it as a redirect page an indicates the target airticle. It is an aa possible tae redirect tae a specific section o the target page, uisin the #REDIRECT [[Page name#Section title]] syntax.
