Protura, tàbí àwọn proturan, tí ìnagijẹ rẹ̀ ń jẹ́ conehead,[1][2] jẹ́ àwọ́n ẹrankó kékèké (<2 mm ní gígún), tí wọ́n ń gbé inú iyẹ̀pẹ̀, wọ́n kéré tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí a kò ṣàkíyèsí títí di ogún ọ̀rundún sẹ́yìn.  Protura jẹ́ ẹgbẹ́ àwọn  hexapod tí a kà sí àwon kòkòrò insects, ti a má ań kó wọn sí àyè wọn lọ́tọ̀.[3].
