AARP sebelumnya di kenal dengan nama American Association of Retired Persons merupakan sebuah lembaga nirlaba asal Amerika Serikat yang didirikan pada tahun 1958 oleh Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus. Misinya adalah untuk meningkatkan standar kualitas hidup orang Amerika yang berusia di atas 50 tahun, terutama para pensiunan dan mantan pekerja yang dirasa tidak mampu lagi untuk membiayai kebutuhan hidup, terutama makanan yang semakin mahal dari hari ke hari.
Lembaga ini sering mengadakan acara penggalangan dana, baik itu secara langsung ataupun tidak langsung untuk bisa disumbangkan kepada orang-orang yang termasuk subjek di atas. Lembaga ini juga menjadi salah satu lembaga terkuat di Amerika Serikat dan memiliki lebih dari 40 juta anggota.
