Afrovenator (/ˌæfrvɪˈntər/; "pemburu Afrika") adalah sebuah genus dinosaurus teropoda megalosauridae punah dari Jura Tengah atau Jura Akhir di Formasi Tiourarén dan mungkin Formasi Irhazer II, wilayah Sahara Niger, Afrika barat. Afrovenator adalah satu-satunya megalosaurus Gondwanan yang dinamai secara definitif, dengan material yang diyakini berasal dari kelompok tersebut ditemukan di Formasi Tacuarembó, Uruguay dan Formasi Tendaguru, Tanzania, keduanya berasal dari periode Jura Akhir.[1]
