Blattodea adalah sebuah ordo serangga yang mencakup kecoak dan rayap.[3] Sebelumnya, rayap dianggap berada pada sebuah ordo terpisah, Isoptera, tetapi bukti genetika dan molekular menyarankan bahwa mereka berevolusi dari garis keturunan kecoak, yang secara kladistika, membuatnya sebagai bagian dari kecoak (sebagaimana burung adalah dinosaurus).[4] Blattodea dan belalang sentadu (ordo Mantodea) sekarang dianggap sebagai bagian dari superordo Dictyoptera. Blattodea mencakup kurang lebih sekitar 4,400 spesies kecoak pada hampir 500 genera, dan sekitar 3,000 spesies rayap dalam sekitar 300 genera.
