Demas

Demas atau Demos adalah seorang pria yang disebutkan oleh Rasul Paulus dalam Alkitab Perjanjian Baru, dan tampaknya terlibat untuk suatu waktu dalam pelayanannya.[1]

Demas disebutkan dalam tiga surat kanonik Paulus:

Demas juga disebut dalam kitab non-kanonik Kisah Paulus dan Tekla, di mana ia memegang pandangan mirip dengan penulis Surat Petrus yang Kedua. Berdasarkan pada kitab tersebut, Dale Martin berpendapat bahwa penulis Kisah Paulus dan Tekla dan Surat-surat Pastoral (termasuk 2 Timotius) menulis pendapat berlawanan satu sama lain.[5]
