Er (bahasa Ibrani: עֵר, Modern ʿEr Tiberias ʿĒr "tidak punya anak"; kalau namanya dibalik bahasa Ibrani: רע, Modern ra Tiberias ra artinya "jahat";[1] bahasa Yunani: Ἤρ) adalah putra sulung Yehuda dan istrinya, Batsyua atau anak perempuan dari Syua, seorang Kanaan, seperti yang dicatat di Kitab Kejadian dalam Alkitab Ibrani dan Perjanjian Lama Alkitab Kristen.

Yehuda mengambil bagi Er seorang isteri, yang bernama Tamar. Tetapi Er, anak sulung Yehuda itu, adalah jahat di mata TUHAN, maka TUHAN membunuh dia. Er mati di tanah Kanaan.[2]

Setelah itu, Yehuda menyuruh Onan, adik Er, untuk menikahi Tamar, tetapi dilaksanakan tidak dengan tulus hati, sehingga TUHAN membunuh dia juga.[3]

Syela, adik Er dan Onan, kemudian menamai anak sulungnya, Er.[4]
