Mu Cephei (μ Cep / μ Cephei) merupakan bintang merah raksasa bertipe M2Ia (red supergiant star) pada rasi bintang Cepheus. Bintang ini merupakan salah satu bintang yang paling cemerlang di Galaksi Bima Sakti. Mu Cephei berada pada jarak 5258 tahun cahaya dari Bumi dan bermagnitudo 4.23.
Etimologi
Bintang ini dikenal dengan Herschel's Garnet Star dan Erakis, berasal dari kata dalam bahasa Arab ar ˈraːqis berarti "penari'. Nama lain yang diberikan oleh para astronom adalah
