Thecodontosauridae adalah famili dinosaurus sauropodomorpha basal[1] yang merupakan bagian dari Bagualosauria,[2] yang dikenal dari sisa-sisa fosil yang ditemukan secara eksklusif di Magnesian Conglomerate di Bristol, Inggris,[3] yang berasal dari kala Rhaetium pada Trias Akhir (meskipun bisa jadi setua kala Norium pada Trias Akhir dan semuda kala Hettangium pada Jura Awal).[3] Dua genus diketahui: Agrosaurus[4] dan Thecodontosaurus;[5] yang pertama sering dianggap sebagai hewan yang sama dengan yang terakhir.[6]
