British Automobile Development Co. war ein Hersteller von Nutzfahrzeugen aus dem Vereinigten Königreich.[1]

Unternehmensgeschichte

Das Unternehmen aus London gehörte zu Brush Electrical Engineering. Zwischen 1905 und 1907 stellte es Omnibusse und Lastkraftwagen her. Der Markenname lautete BADC.[1]

Ab 1907 betrieb das Unternehmen Buslinien. 1912 kam es zur Umwandlung in British Automobile Traction Co.[2]

Fahrzeuge

Das erste Modell hatte einen Vierzylindermotor mit 30 PS Leistung, ein Vierganggetriebe und Kardanantrieb zur Hinterachse. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit war mit 12 Meilen pro Stunde (etwa 19 km/h) angegeben. Bekannt sind Doppeldeckerbus mit 36 Sitzen und ein 3-Tonnen-Lkw.[1]

Eine Variante von 1907 als Frontlenker wurde als Brush angeboten.[1]
