KW-Software war ein Technologie-Anbieter für die industrielle Steuerungs-, Sicherheits- und Netzwerktechnik und stellt Software gemäß IEC 61131 und IEC 61508 her. Der Hauptsitz war im Centrum Industrial IT (CIIT) in Lemgo, einem Forschungs- und Entwicklungszentrum für Automation. Weitere Standorte bestanden in Japan, China und den USA. KW-Software war bis Ende 2014 ein eigenständiges Unternehmen in der Phoenix Contact Gruppe und firmiert seit dem 1. Januar 2015 als Phoenix Contact Software GmbH.[1]
