NGC 5853 ist eine Balkenspiralgalaxie vom Hubble-Typ SBb im Sternbild Bärenhüter. Sie ist schätzungsweise 404 Millionen Lichtjahre von der Milchstraße entfernt.

Sie wurde am 19. Mai 1881 von Édouard Stephan entdeckt.[3]
