Stribog est le divin slave suprême d'air et du ciel et du vent au seigneur des vents dans la mythologie slave « âpres et sifflants ». Après la christianisation, il est assimilé au souffle du Saint-Esprit. Les paysans slaves disent encore aujourd'hui : « Si le vent est calme, c'est que Stribog joue de la flûte ».
