Tonada

Tonada de gaita pastoril de centeo.

A tonada[1] é un xénero musical conformado por un conxunto de melodías e cantos dentro do xénero da lírica. Caracterízase por non ser bailada e polo relevante dos textos.

Características

Xeralmente é interpretada por un conxunto de guitarristas que poden formar dúos ou outras asociacións musicais, acompañándose unicamente con instrumentos de corda do tipo da propia guitarra ou do guitarrón, pero nunca de bombos ou outros instrumentos similares. Existe en Asturias e Cantabria unha maneira de interpretar a tonada ao son dunha gaita e tamén a capela. É moi representativo do folclore do norte da Península Ibérica.
