Ángel Aller Villa, nado en Betanzos o 16 de abril de 1887 e finado en Montevideo o 15 de maio de 1976, foi un escritor e xornalista galego.

Traxectoria

Estableceuse coa familia en Santiago de Compostela. Emigrou coa familia ao Uruguai en 1906, radicándose primeiro en Paso de los Toros (Tacuarembó) e dous anos despois en Montevideo. Participou nas actividades da colectividade galega, formando parte da secretaría de redacción de Tierra Gallega, colaborando no semanario Galicia Nueva, coa Revista del Centro Gallego de Montevideo e co periódico Arazua. En 1929 foi un dos fundadores da Asociación Protectora de la Cultura Gallega, da que foi presidente, e tamén presidiu o Centro Gallego de Montevideo.

Vinculouse aos grupos literarios máis renovadores e participou na revista Cartel (1929-1931), fundada por Julio Sigüenza, Jaime Luis Morenza e Alfredo Mario Ferreiro; colaborou na etapa uruguaia da revista Alfar, dirixida por Julio José Casal. O seu libro de poemas Romance del gaucho perdido (1930), é unha recreación lírica da figura do escritor Francisco Espínola e, sobre todo, do libro de contos deste Raza ciega (1926). A súa actividade cultural foi febril neses anos, facendo de ponte para invitar a conferenciantes españois de primeira liña que, previamente, pasaban por Buenos Aires (José Ortega y Gasset, Ramón Pérez de Ayala, entre outros).

Definiuse a prol do bando franquista e tratou en conferencias, libros e folletos os temas da "hispanidad" (Retorno de Iberia: cinco glosas, Cultura y Raza). participou na homenaxe realizado en 1939 para celebrar a vitoria de Franco e en memoria do fundador de Falange Española, José Antonio Primo de Rivera. Por tales actividades Franco condecorouno como Comendador de la Orden del Mérito Civil en 1957.

O seu último recoñecemento como creador obtívoo ao figurar na selecta antoloxía 18 poetas del Uruguay, que o arxentino Romualdo Brughetti publicou no selo binacional da Sociedad de Autores de Libros Rioplatenses (SALRP, 1937).
