Miofibril (juga dikenal sebagai fibril otot atau sarkostil)[1] adalah organel dasar berbentuk batang dari sel otot.[2] Otot lurik tersusun dari sel-sel tubular panjang yang dikenal sebagai serat otot, dan sel-sel ini mengandung banyak rantai miofibril.[3] Setiap miofibril memiliki diameter 1–2 mikrometer.[3] Miofibril terbentuk selama perkembangan embrio dalam suatu proses yang dikenal sebagai miogenesis.

Miofibril tersusun atas protein panjang termasuk aktin, miosin, dan titin, serta protein lain yang menyatukannya. Protein-protein ini tersusun menjadi miofilamen tebal, tipis, dan elastis, yang berulang sepanjang miofibril dalam bagian atau unit kontraksi yang disebut sarkomer. Otot berkontraksi dengan menggeser miosin tebal dan miofilamen aktin tipis satu sama lain.
