Bargish ist ein Verwaltungsbezirk (englisch Ward) des Distrikts Mbulu (TC) in der tansanischen Region Manyara.

Geografie

Bargish ist ein ländlicher Bezirk im Norden von Tansania. Er liegt etwa sieben Kilometer Luftlinie nördlich des Stadtzentrums von Mbulu.[2] Bei der Volkszählung 2022 lebten 8723 Menschen in 1748 Haushalten[3] auf einer Fläche von 38 Quadratkilometern.[4]

Der Bezirk grenzt im Nordosten an das Marang Waldreservat und sonst an sechs Bezirke des Distrikts Mbulu (TC):[5]

Gliederung

Der Bezirk besteht aus drei Gemeinden (Swahili Mtaa) und 14 Orten (Swahili Kitongoji):[6]

Infrastruktur

  • Bildung: Es gibt eine weiterführende Schule im Bezirk.[7] Die Bargish Secondary School ist eine staatliche Schule, die 100 bis 150 Jugendliche bis zur 4. Stufe ausbildet (2015 bis 2025).[8]
  • Gesundheitseinrichtungen: Im Bezirk liegen zwei staatliche Ambulanzen.[9][10]
  • Elektrizität, Wasser: Von den 2301 Gebäuden im Bezirk haben 295 einen Stromanschluss von Tanesco, 509 beziehen Strom aus anderen Quellen wie Solarzellen und Generatoren. In 738 Gebäuden gibt es einen Wasseranschluss (Stand 2022).[11]
  • Gebäudenutzung: Von den 141 Gebäuden, die nicht für Wohnzwecke genutzt werden, sind 53 Geschäftslokale, 38 öffentliche Gebäude wie Schulen und Gesundheitseinrichtungen, gehören 31 religiösen Gemeinschaften, sind 8 Bürogebäude, 7 Lagerhäuser, 6 Gewerbebetriebe und eines ist eine industrielle Anlage (Stand 2022).[12]
  • Verkehr: Von Bargish gibt es eine nicht asphaltierte Landesstraße nach Mbulu, die weiter nach Babati führt.[13]
