Getanuwas ist ein Verwaltungsbezirk (englisch Ward) des Distrikts Hanang in der tansanischen Region Manyara.

Geografie

Getanuwas ist ein Landbezirk im Norden von Tansania. Er liegt etwa 50 Kilometer Luftlinie westnordwestlich der Distrikthauptstadt Katesh.[2] Bei der Volkszählung 2022 lebten 16.867 Menschen in 2754 Haushalten[3] auf einer Fläche von 146 Quadratkilometern.[4]

Der Bezirk grenzt im Westen und im Südwesten an die Region Singida und sonst an vier Bezirke des Distrikts Hanang:[5]

Der Bezirk besteht aus drei Gemeinden (Swahili Mtaa) und 13 Orten (Swahili Kitongoji):[6]

Infrastruktur

  • Bildung: Es gibt eine weiterführende Schule im Bezirk.[7] Die Getanuwas Secondary School ist eine staatliche Schule mit einer Ausbildung bis zur 4. Stufe.[8]
  • Gesundheitseinrichtungen: In der Gemeinde Getanuwas liegt eine staatliche Ambulanz.[9]
  • Elektrizität, Wasser: Von den 4068 Gebäuden im Bezirk haben 37 einen Stromanschluss von Tanesco, 1888 beziehen Strom aus anderen Quellen wie Solarzellen und Generatoren. In 313 Gebäuden gibt es einen Wasseranschluss (Stand 2022).[10]
  • Gebäudenutzung: Von den 241 Gebäuden, die nicht für Wohnzwecke genutzt werden, sind 70 Geschäftslokale, 59 Lagerhäuser, gehören 55 religiösen Gemeinschaften, sind 42 öffentliche Gebäude wie Schulen und Gesundheitseinrichtungen, 9 Bürogebäude, 6 Gewerbebetriebe und eines ist eine industrielle Anlage (Stand 2022).[11]
