Yaeda Chini ist ein Verwaltungsbezirk (englisch Ward) des Distrikts Mbulu in der tansanischen Region Manyara.

Geografie

Yaeda Chini ist ein ländlicher Bezirk im Norden von Tansania rund 40 Kilometer westlich der Distrikthauptstadt Mbulu. Im Zentrum des Bezirks liegt eine sumpfige Ebene auf rund 1300 Meter Seehöhe, der Süden ist hügelig auf über 1400 Meter, im Norden steigt das Land steil auf über 1500 Meter an.[2] Bei der Volkszählung 2022 lebten 9088 Menschen in 1705 Haushalten[3] auf einer Fläche von 568 Quadratkilometern.[4]

Der Bezirk grenzt im Norden an die Region Arusha und sonst an sechs Bezirke des Distrikts Mbulu:[5]

Der Bezirk besteht aus zwei Gemeinden (Swahili Mtaa) und zehn Orten (Swahili Kitongoji):[6]

Infrastruktur

  • Bildung: Es gibt eine weiterführende Schule im Bezirk.[7] Die Yaeda Chini Secondary School ist eine staatliche Schule, die rund 20 bis 50 Jugendliche bis zur 4. Stufe ausbildet (Stand 2018 bis 2025).[8]
  • Gesundheitseinrichtungen: Im Bezirk liegen zwei staatliche Ambulanzen.[9][10]
  • Elektrizität, Wasser: Von den 1673 Gebäuden im Bezirk hat keines einen Stromanschluss von Tanesco, 337 beziehen Strom aus anderen Quellen wie Solarzellen und Generatoren. In 240 Gebäuden gibt es einen Wasseranschluss (Stand 2022).[11]
  • Gebäudenutzung: Von den 93 Gebäuden, die nicht für Wohnzwecke genutzt werden, sind 39 öffentliche Gebäude wie Schulen und Gesundheitseinrichtungen, gehören 33 religiösen Gemeinschaften, sind 9 Geschäftslokale, 6 Bürogebäude, 3 Gewerbebetriebe, 2 Diplomatengebäude und eines ist eine industrielle Anlage (Stand 2022).[12]
