μ1 Chamaeleontis, latinisation de Mu1 Chamaeleontis, est une étoile unique[12] située dans la constellation circumpolaire australe du Caméléon. Elle est faiblement visible à l'œil nu avec une magnitude visuelle apparente de 5,53[2]. Selon les mesures de parallaxe, elle se situe à environ ∼ 403 a.l. (∼ 124 pc) du Soleil[1]. Sa vitesse radiale est peu précise, mais elle semble s'éloigner à une vitesse d'environ 16 km/s[5].

Cet objet a une classification stellaire A0 IV[3], ce qui correspond à une étoile sous-géante de type A. Elle possède 2,6 fois la masse du Soleil[6] et une température effective de 10 141 K[9], lui conférant un éclat blanc bleuté. En raison de son rayon légèrement élargi[7], l'étoile a une luminosité plus de 90 fois supérieure à celle du Soleil[8] et tourne rapidement avec une vitesse de rotation projetée de 150 km/s[10]. La métallicité de Mu1 Chamaeleontis — ses éléments plus lourds que l'hélium — est de 66 % de celle du Soleil[6].
