Pi Chamaeleontis, latinisée en π Chamaeleontis, est une étoile binaire[12],[13] située dans la constellation circumpolaire australe du Caméléon. Elle est faiblement visible à l'œil nu avec une magnitude apparente de 5,64[2]. Les mesures de parallaxe effectuées par Hipparcos situent le système à environ ∼ 135 a.l. (∼ 41,4 pc)[1]. Il se rapproche à une vitesse radiale de −10 km/s[6].

Le satellite Hipparcos a déterminé une orbite de 223 jours à partir du mouvement d'un compagnon invisible[1]. La composante visible est une sous-géante de type A[3] ou une géante de type F avec une température effective d'environ 6 900 K[6]. Elle a une magnitude absolue de 2,56[7], une masse de 1.52 M[8], et un rayon de 2.2 R[9]. Son âge est d'environ 1,8 Ga[7].
