Kipu

Inkų kipu

Kipu (keč. Khipu 'mazgas') – savotiškos atmintinės, naudotos Inkų imperijoje bei ikiinkinėse Senovės Peru kultūrose. Kipu paprastai sudarė spalvingų gijų, padarytų iš lamos ar alpakos vilnos, kuokštas. Dar gamintas ir iš špagato. Gijų skaičius galėjęs siekti iki 2000. Ant jų buvo užrišami mazgai, turėję skaitinę reikšmę. Skaičiai buvo išreiškiami dešimtaine sistema. Reikšmę turi mazgo tipas, padėtis ant gijos ir kt. Dalis mazgų, gijų spalvos turėjo ir kitą reikšmę, tačiau ji nėra iššifruota. Paprastai manoma, kad kipu sistema neturėjo mazgų, reiškiančių fonetinius atitikmenis (garsus). Visgi, neatmetama galimybė, kad kipu galėjo turėti ne tik atmintinę, bet ir žodinę reikšmę. Tokiu atveju pavykus iššifruoti kipu atsivertų daug žinių apie Inkų imperiją, kuri iki ispanų konkistos rašto neturėjo.[1]

Seniausias kipu variantas, kuris datuojamas apie 3000 m. pr. m. e., rastas Karalio piramidėje, todėl gali būti laikomas viena seniausių pasaulyje komunikavimo priemonių. Inkų imperijoje už kipu buvo atsakingi kipukamajokai (khipu kamayuq). Jie mokėjo šifruoti kipu mazgus, su jais atlikti aritmetinius veiksmus. Jie apskaičiuodavo mitą (viešuosius darbus), mokesčius, pajamas, gyventojų surašymus. Kipu taip pat naudoti sudarinėjant kalendorius. Be kipukamajakų kipu mokėjo naudotis ir istorikai, aukštuomenė.

Kipu ir jų skaitymo menas sunaikinti ispanams užkariavus Peru. Kipamajokai buvo persekiojami kaip senosios valdžios šalininkai, o kipu naikinti kaip inkų stabai. Iki šių dienų yra išlikę ~600 kipu, o 15-20 kipu buvo konkistos laikais transkribuota (bet manoma, kad nei vienas iš transkribuotų neišlikęs). Dalis istorikų teigia, kad kiekvienas kipu gali būti perskaitytas tik jį kūrusio kipukamajoko. Vietomis Peru aukštikalnėse vietiniai gyventojai atminimui tebenaudoja supaprastintus kipu, tačiau jie gerokai skiriasi nuo imperinių kipu.
