Ayam mentega atau Makhan murg (bahasa Hindi: मुर्ग़ मक्खनी )adalah hidangan, yang berasal dari subbenua India, dari ayam dalam saus tomat.

Hidangan ini dikembangkan pada 1950-an oleh tiga pemilik restoran Punjabi: Kundan Lal Gujral, Kundan Lal Jaggi dan Thakur Dass, yang merupakan pendiri restoran Moti Mahal di Delhi, India. Hidangan itu dibuat "secara kebetulan" dengan mencampur ayam sisa dalam saus tomat, kaya akan mentega dan krim.
